Jurlique Serum Exchange!

Sydney Siders, who wants a FREE Jurlique serum?! Well next week from Thursday 3rd - Sunday 6th of October from midday, you can head into the Jurlique Westfield Sydney store on Pitt St and swap your old serum (an empty or used bottle) from any brand (doesn't have to be Jurlique) for a full 30ml bottle! How sick is that? and it is totally free! A whole bottle of their natural, artificial free, serum-y goodness!
And if you are one who has never tried a serum, then head in this coming Monday, where the oh so helpful staff are giving skin consultations and FREE SAMPLES. Who doesn't love a good free sample #amiright?

P.s. I have mid-sem break right now, therefore I am going to shove in as many posts as I can before Uni gets cray cray again :(

30 Years of Tokyo Disneyland

Wearing: Emma Mulholland shorts, The Milk Thief denim jacket

During the holidays, I spent three weeks escaping to Japan and Hong Kong with my mum. We mainly spent our time in Hong Kong to see family, but managed to get away for a week and visit Japan, which I have eagerly anticipated for so long now! My first day in Japan was spent at "the happiest place on earth", Disneyland in Tokyo! Everything was perfect besides the wind and rain that decided to become bipolar every few hours... From heavy rain to gale like winds, nothing broke my eight-year-old excited self from going on every ride possible! Looking back, I actually think my favourite part of all was seeing the light parade at night. How cute is Boo chillin' on Sully's back?! AW.
Stay tuned for updates on the rest of my holiday, I promise I will try to keep this blogging thing consistent... for now anyways.

River Island Launch

I swear this is Solange Knowles! haha
And I think he is James Franco. Yum.

In the midst of all my stressful assessments and exams last week, I managed to make it to the River Island Launch! And when I say "managed", I mean I had been anticipating this showing as soon as I got the invite and would not ever let my uni work get in the way! This launch definitely met my expectations, with plenty of colours, patterns, accessories, several trends and every sort of fashion item you could ask for! I just love how this high street brand tailors to every person's needs!

And I'm not gonna to lie... But I was mainly excited to go to the showing, purely to see the Rihanna for River Island collection! I was very impressed with all the fabric choices and tailoring for pieces that are so affordable! I even met a lovely guy (forgot his name, sorry) from River Island, who gave me a bit of history about River Island and was also apart of Rihanna's design process. (OMG HE MET RiRi!!) He also told me that Rihanna is actively involved in each step of designing! Loves it! You go RiRi!

You can check out River Island HERE, shipping to Australia is now available! Also, if you wanted to see Rihanna being apart of the design process, there is a YouTube video HERE!

Shakuhachi SS13/14

Thursday night of MBFWA, ended off with the incredible 'Cruise' collection by Shakuhachi. A burst of metallics, sequins, netting and florals, ultimately captured a futuristic clash underwater like theme. Instantly, I was in love with all the metallics, I mean that bomber jacket is just insane! If you follow me on Instagram @kateyess, you would've already seen a shot of this, and heard me rant about how much I want it! So so cool, and those silver socks and flatformed sandles and sneakers?! Ahmahgahhddd. Love so much! Definitely, can't wait for this collection to hit shop floors at the end of this year, in Spring/Summer! On top of all this exhilarating fashion explosion, I also managed to grab a few sneaky backstage shots! How gorj is Ruby Jean Wilson even when she's getting her make up done?!

MBFWA Outfit 2

Wearing: The Milk Thief overalls and denim jacket, Michael Kors watch, Acne boots, Sporstgirl t-shirt, Topshop socks

I'm never really sure why people don't believe me, when I say I'm turning 21 this year... I mean look at this outfit, all adult like and mature and what not... (heh, yeah I look 12!). So this outfit was Day 4 of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, which was spent running from uni, then to a show, then back to uni and then back to watch Shakuhachi by 7pm! What a crazy crazy day that was! But luckily enough, I was dressed purely in comfort, in possibly the coolest threads ever! I managed to snag this double denim outfit from my friend's Etsy store called The Milk Thief which you should all DEFINITELY check out! Everything is major cheap, with plenty of quirky vintage finds, and sometimes you may be fortunate enough to find items with The Simpsons patches all over them (that she would've sewn on herself! I mean, total sick bitch right?!). You can also follow her updates on facebook here!
