Shopbop Showroom

Wearing: Miss Unkon top, Sass and Bide trousers, Siren shoes, Zara bag

Just last week as I was scrolling through my overflowing inbox of emails regarding Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I stumbled upon an invite to view Shopbop's new coming collection at their showroom in the penthouse of The Establishment. Besides the fact that we were in a penthouse being fed with a delicious assortment of canapés, the showroom was just a sweet taste of retail heaven. The mixtures of neon, floral, leather and digital prints was enough to leave me ripping my credit card out of my wallet within seconds. Luckily enough you are not allowed to buy anything at showrooms, otherwise I would have spent all my earnings on a few new items by Alexander Wang.
So ladies and gents, keep a lookout for the coming new items at Shopbop! I assure you that you won't be disappointed!
On another note, this is the outfit I wore to Day 1 of Fashion Palette, I shall be posting about this event in a few days. May I just say how much I am in love with my Sass and Bide digital print trousers that I scored at the Sass and Bide warehouse sale for $50! And they are silk. UUUUNF.

Never ending closet

Wearing Outfit 1: Hot Topic tank, Sportsgirl skirt, Rayban sunglasses, Vintage boots
Outfit 2: Princess Polly singlet/shorts, Wildfox ring, Sportsgirl hat/sunglasses, VIntage boots

And once again, I feel like everything around me has been changing and going too fast, that I have been struggling to catch a breath of air. I have literally not posted for two weeks and everything on 'Blogger' has changed. If you know me well, you know that I hate change when it comes to anything technological. On that note, my Facebook changed by itself to Timeline. Not cool. It is too confusing for my likings.
Anywho, as I have been "so busy" (but really just sitting in front of my laptop catching up on episodes of 'Community') I have lacked in posting my little adventures selling my old/never been worn clothes at the markets recently. In my previous post I mentioned that Louise Maree Vintage and I would be sharing a stall at Glebe. And this day went splendidly! Unfortunately though, it was a super hot day and we were just too swamped to take any good outfit shots. But I must say, that I adore my Misfits skull tank matched with my pink pleated maxi skirt.
As it was so hot, I sadly struggled to walk around in the blazing heat to visit other stalls. However, on my way to 7/11 to pick up slurpees and meeting Patrick, I did manage to catch a quick glimpse of my competitors and I must say their vintage stalls looked incredible to the point I had to resist the temptation of walking into their stalls and spending all my earnings I had made that day.
As well as Glebe Markets, Louise Maree Vintage and I decided to sell at the UNSW Flea Markets which they have on the first Wednesday of each month. As this day was not so hot, and the environment was a lot more relaxed we managed to get a few shots of my outfit. A simple knit singlet with burgundy high waisted denim shorts. Right now, I have this weird fetish for all things burgundy...
Lastly, sincere apologies for my lack of posts, stress has been raising a bit high as Fashion week/Fashion Palette zooms around the corner. I think I have finally found all my outfits for each day, so keep your eyes peeled as a lot more posts will be coming soon!

Wearing May in April

Wearing: My Pet Square skirt, May top, Sporstgirl necklace, Wittner shoes

First off Happy Easter to everyone! I hope you have already eaten so many chocolate eggs and bunnies to the point you’re all laying on the couch with your arms and legs spread wide out due to massive food babies…
So it’s finally the long Easter weekend and for the first time I feel like I have nothing to do with myself. Usually my schedule is work, college, work, ballet, work and more work, resulting in no time off! Therefore, Good Friday just felt incredible when I had nothing to do. So what perfect way to spend the sunny summer-like day than relaxing around and sleeping in and having bacon and eggs at 12 o’clock?
After Blake and I slowly realised we were wasting away the beautiful afternoon, we decided to take a little road trip to Bundeena and “get in touch with nature” as Blake sees it… The way I saw it, was that trekking through the bushes to find our location was an instant hazard due to my lack of coordination to walk on non-flat surfaces. Luckily enough, I only tripped once…
However, what was difficult was stabilising myself in heels in windy weather on those bumpy rocks! Besides this, the sunset was perfect in Bundeena and the wind helped my sheer maxi skirt from ‘My Pet Square’ to flow gracefully. On that note, I scored this delightful designer item for only $40 at The Big Fashion warehouse sale!
Lastly, one of my favourite wardrobe pieces right now is this blue sheer top from ‘May’ which I have probably outfit repeated too many times. But I really don’t mind, as I am so in love with the print and the mixture of pink and blues.
Finally, don't we all agree that Blake did an amazing job with these photos?! The sunset and landscape look phenomenal! So thank you so much to Blake! Check out his photostream on Flickr!

Georgia state of mind

Wearing: State of Georgia skirt, Zara tank, Siren shoes, Sportsgirl watch

If you aren't already currently aware, I work at Princess Polly in Pitt St and one of the greatest perks about working there are receiving and opening boxes to indent brands. Indent, is the name we use to label high end brands we receive in store and one of my most exciting moments was when I cracked open a big box of State of Georgia clothing. My favourite piece out of everything received (which was not much at all) was this 1950's style, floral skater skirt. There's nothing more exciting to me than putting on a fun and flattering floral skirt, that I can twirl around in and be reminiscent of my free childhood days. What I also love about this skirt, is the way the skirt flows almost creating pleats which creates the illusion of skinnier legs, YAY!
On top of this my super comfy platforms are by Siren and were bought from Wanted on sale for only $60! So much love for decent bargains <3
